🍷 Nad C388 Review What Hi Fi

Sep 5, 2017. #1. Hi, Whilst researching for a new amp (yes, a never ending endeavor for some, esp. those who are geographically challenged in the world of hi-fi supply) I came across these two, NAD's C388 & Cambridge Audio's Azur 851A, of which both seems to have planted their stakes in the digital race, with all the bells & whistles of the One problem. Dirac in the C658 was still a future promise of an upgrade and AV is littered with shattered promises. Still, the system wasn't exactly shabby, so I sat it out. Then came word from a reliable source in April that an announcement would be made in May about the date the upgrade would arrive in June. Remote will turn unit off but NOT on, even in standby mode. 2. Cannot access PROCESSOR modes via remote or front panel. 3. Sometimes digital input will stutter, or "motorboat" when signal applied. Arcam is aware of #1. SW update supposedly coming sooner or later. I will wait for that or a new unit, but these are unacceptable defects. The I want to go with Yamaha RN 803 too but came across this review on whathifi which says that " there’s a slightly concerning lack of coherence to the sound – rather than one man singing and playing, there’s the suggestion of two performers doing their thing quite independently." Powerful. Efficient. The C 388 Hybrid Digital DAC Amplifier is at the top of its class in the world of affordable amplification. An incredibly powerful amp, the C 388 employs NAD technologies like Asymmetrical PowerDrive™ to ensure that even the most demanding speakers can be driven to life-like listening levels without dynamic compression. But I wanted to experiment, as you do with this hobby, and bought a C275 to bi-amp the speakers. Holy moly the 275 blows the 388 out of the water. Dec 12, 2020. #14. I have had my NAD M33 for 6 weeks now and it sounds fantastic with my B&W 802D2 speakers. I love the NAD's crystal clear sound, detail it brings out in all music, punchy bass, big sound stage, and clean dynamic power. I don't quite agree with the AV review on the comparison to the NAD M10. POS-134641. Ships in 4 to 7 Days. $3,199. Add to Cart. Intelligent. Powerful. Efficient. Introducing the C 388, from NAD’s new Classic Amplifiers range. Rotel has been hard at work updating its amplifier range and the RA-1592 MkII is the top of the tree. Do the updates take it to the head of the class? Read the review. Write your own review for Rotel RA-1592 MKII. There were too many of us, we had access to too much money, too much equipment, and little by little we went insane. A. NAD’S new C399 is a streaming integrated amplifier that incorporates many functions and features and high performance into a remarkably compact component. Its preamplifier section has two line-level inputs; a moving-magnet phonostage; balance, bass, and treble controls; switching for two pairs of speaker systems; outputs for two subwoofers Navigate to BluOS Setup on the screen. 2. Under BluOS Setup, choose BluOS Reset. 3. Select BluOS Reset " YES ". 4. Wait for the player to complete " Executing BluOS Reset " procedure. Once complete, perform a reboot of the amplifier or the player by unplugging the power cable from the back of the player. Dec 30, 2021. #1. I’m considering upgrading from a NAD C368 to the new C399 for (a) the extra features (HDMI, Dirac) and (b) higher power output. Speakers are ATC SCM11s with a REL sub. I’d particularly appreciate hearing from anyone with first-hand experience of the C399. The C368 has been great but I suspect it may be a little I believe this is because most subs are wrong for 2-channel and more so not placed where they need or want to be - they are compromised out of necessity. The Rel S510 is at least affordable at around $2000 each. And ive been told, and may go this direction myself, to use (2) i7 Rel's. Apr 15, 2019. #1. Hi all, I'd like to change my entire system and replace bulky units and tons of cables with wife-friendly all-in-one unit. Really like the look of NAD M10. Attracted by word Masters also Unfortunately haven't had a chance to see and hear it live, also surprised that not many reviews or tests can be found. The NAD C368 sounds better, sweeter with more clarity than the Rotel. Since the room is quite small, I don't usually crank up the volume. Given that I listen at a moderate volume, if I upgrade to Dynaudio X18 (4ohm instead of 8ohm X14), will it sound better, with more bass? Or should I upgrade to a beefier amp also? The NAD C368 is rated at 80W .
